Thursday Trap Girls Basketball!

Thursday night has a few "trap games" in high school girls basketball. Some rematches for teams tonight.
Thursday morning today, Thumb Tailgater Sports was invited to cover two big signings at Croswell-Lexington high school. Cros-Lex senior Leah O'Connor signed a letter of intent with Michigan State University. O'Connor is a well known Blue Water Thumb area track star. She is a two-time State Champion for the Pioneers in track & field and All State cross country. Leah led her cross country team to three BWAC titles in 2007, 2008 & 2009. Also Cros-Lex senior Alexander West, an offensive lineman with the Pioneer football team signed with Northwood University. Thumb Tailgater Sports tried a live video event and scored some interviews. It was only second time we tried video, so it was out of focus, but this was a learning experience for TTS. We will be getting better webcams.

The audio/video stream started at about 10:55 a.m.,Thursday morning on Thumb Tailgater Sports.

**The night of "Trap Games" became true as some minor upsets carried over from the Greater Thumb "Wild" West last in boys to girls basketball. The Lady Vulcans emptied the fuel capsules of the Reese Lady Rockets. The Lady Lakers continued their new winning streak to two games and thanks to Vassar defeating Reese, that created a current tie for first for Lakers with Reese.

We got to see the Blue Stars in action early this week Coach - your girls will have to have their A game going. But we did see that Port Hope does have a few cracks in the armor. Should be a great game!
