Weary Wednesday Of HS Basketball : February 24th, 2016

  Thumb Tailgater Sports has the rest of the Live Webcasts coverage scheduled. We try to cover games this late in the season with title implications - and have two games that could conclude that aspect.

   Thursday, February 25th features a Live Webcast of high school girls basketball game in the Greater Thumb East with the Marlette Lady Red Raiders at the Brown City Lady Greendevils. With a Marlette win - they become the lone outright league champions. If Brown City wins and Sandusky defeats Ubly that same night - it will be a two tie share for the title.

  Friday, February 26th we present a Live Webcast of boys basketball in the North Central Thumb League Stars Division that has the Caseville Eagles at the Deckerville Eagles. With a Deckerville win - they hold onto to first place in the Stars division which could still be a three way tie with Dryden & Kingston. Deckerville will then need to defeat Carsonville-Port Sanilac next Thursday, March 3rd to seal their title. Despite Caseville & Carsonville two of the last place teams in the NCTL - coaches & teams know that you cannot "sleep & coast" nonchalantly on them.

  It's a very light schedule in our coverage area of high school basketball on this Wednesday, February 24th. But with the projected Winter Storm Warning heading to the thumb area of Michigan - games could be cancelled as some schools already closed for the day as of Tuesday!
