The MHSAA HS Girls Basketball Playoffs bounce back this week on this Tuesday,
March 15th - with the Quarterfinal games. The winners will take their march to the Breslin Center at MSU East Lansing - for the Semifinals.

Thumb Tailgater Sports had one lone coverage area girls team left - and that was the Kingston Lady Cardinals (19-4) as they made the Class D Quarterfinal 14 to play against Waterford Our Lady Of Lakes (20-3) for the second straight year.
Last year in the Quarterfinals - Waterford Our Lady made the comeback win over Kingston; 39-36.
It took overtime and Waterford Our Lady once again dashed hopes for another TTS / Thumb area team to make a long awaited trip to MSU's Breslin Center.
Waterford Our Lady defeated Kingston 51-43 in overtime.
Kingston's Sarah Savage made a free throw to tie the game with :06 seconds left in regulation, and Waterford Our Lady missing a last second shot attempt taking the game to overtime. Kingston was down by as much as 9 points in 4th quarter.
Kingston held a brief lead 40-39 in OT, then Waterford made a 3pt, 2pt, and two free throws to quickly turn the tide preventing Kingston to catch up.
Defense was key for Waterford Our Lady causing many disruptive turnovers, despite them being in foul trouble late in both halves.

Kingston shot 22 of 32 free throws. Waterford Our Lady was 10 of 16 from the charity stripe.
Waterford Our Lady moves onto to Class D State Semifinals to play Pitsford.
