Unionville-Sebewaing Lady Patriots & Armada Lady Tigers Win!

The Lady Patriots defeated North Muskegon 5-2, in the quarterfinals of the MHSAA softball playoffs to move on to the semifinals in Battle Creek this weekend, where they hope to make it to the finals and earn a fourth State Championship in the last five years!
Unionville-Sebewaing has won State titles in 2006, 2007, & 2009. The had lost in the semifinals in 2008 to Allen Park Cabrini 2-1; and also made it to the "final four" in 2004 losing to Gladstone 1-0.

In other softball playoff area news - Armada battled it out for a win in 8 innings over Detroit Country Day 4-0.  Armada also won the Blue Water Area Conference league title, and is making more history today as last they won their first Regional championship since 1979 and also went to the state finals that same year. In 1979 the Armada Lady Tigers lost to Saint Joseph Lake Michigan Catholic 7-2. However this year they would like to win. First things first though...win the semifinals.
The Frankenmuth Lady Eagles were also eliminated from the softball playoffs today falling to Allen Park Cabrini 2-0.

In baseball the Memphis Yellowjackets were defeated today by Madison Heights Bishop Foley 11-1.
