Week 6 Fix Of HS Football - Thumb Tailgater Live Webcasts

This Week 6 of high school football could have some teams that will clinch an automatic playoff spot. But as all their head coaches would say - "One game at a time".

Thumb Tailgater has two Live Webcasts of high school football action on Friday, September 30th.

Channel 1 presents another BWAC league battle with the Richmond Blue Devils (4-1) at the Almont Raiders (3-2). Richmond is currently undefeated in league play, while Almont has two league losses, and in order for them to have a outside closer chance to grab a share of the title - they must win this game. Not only that but this is a key game that could open a path to reach the postseason. As for the Richmond Blue Devils - they know that a outright title championship is all dependent on winning this key game at Almont. They still have the Algonac Muskrats (5-0) to play later in the season who is still undefeated and they are in the same position as they are taking on the unpredictable tough team of Yale Bulldogs (3-2).

Channel 2 features a Greater Thumb East league game with the Ubly Bearcats (5-0) at the Sandusky Redskins (1-4).  Let's be honest here - the GTE is not as strong as the GTW this year. Ubly is on a roll - heavily to win the league title. And the Bearcats have already beaten three teams in the GTW - Unionville-Sebewaing, Cass City, and Vassar. And last year defeated the current best team in the GTW - the EPBP Lakers. One more win for Ubly and they are in the playoffs. The Redskins are the opposite - a rebuilding year after last seasons (11-1) spectacular season. Sandusky is coming off last week from a close 30 - 34 loss to a tough & gritty Harbor Beach Pirate (3-2) team, and now may have some new found confidence with a hopeful upset win on their minds over Ubly.

Coverage starts at 6:45pm -  Click Channel 1 or Channel 2 on thumbtailgater.com - to hear all the action! Follow updates on Twitter @ThumbTailgater

Week 4 Roar of HS Football - Live Webcasts

Week 4 roars to almost the midpoint of the HS Football season in the Thumb Tailgater Sports Thumb & Bluewater area coverage.

We will have two Live Webcasts this Friday, September 16th.

Channel 1 presented a Blue Water Area Conference challenge with the Almont Raiders (2-1) at the Croswell-Lexington Pioneers (2-1).
Both teams need to win to stay in the extreme hunt for the league title. Last week, Almont is coming off a big win over Capac, while the Pioneers had many chances to close out with a major victory but ended up faltering to Richmond.

Channel 2 featured NCTL 8 Player Football league action with the Peck Pirates (3-0) at the Deckerville Eagles (3-0).  It's a battle between these former State Champions with the league title implications.
Deckerville has been ripping teams scoring 128 points and giving up only 20 points on defense - so much talent has returned from last year, that the Eagles are heavily favored to make it the State Semifinals again. Peck themselves have scored 78 points & allowed 50. They have been battle tested themselves more so than the Eagles, through three weeks.

Listen in to all the action - Click Channel 1 or 2 on thumbtailgater.com - updates & links will be provided on Twitter @ThumbTailgater
