Rick Glaza Ends Decade Of Play By Play Duties At WLEW Radio Sports

Rick Glaza, the WLEW Sports Play by Play / Color Commentator at WLEW radio announced his last full time call of the game at the Division 7 Regional game between Ravenna @ Ubly.
Rick called the football games for the last 10 years or so on WLEW Cruise 102.1 FM. He also called many years of high school basketball ending that run full time last year.
I had the great pleasure of working with Rick at the start of the 2005 high school sports season. We had covered some of the greatest sports seasons for many thumb area teams in both football & basketball.
The thing I cherished the most in working with Rick is becoming great friends along with a common love of high school sports. He also had a part in inspiring me to start Thumb Tailgater Sports.
Rick best explains his decision and what his plans will be for the future with a post on his blog.
Don't worry - Rick's skills and minor retirement won't last very long, I can guarantee you will hear him call some games every once in a while on Thumb Tailgater Sports.
For the last decade Rick Glaza was the voice of "Huron County Sports" on the radio airwaves. He will be sorely missed and hard to replace.
